CAMERON NUFLO Liquid Turbine Meters

The NUFLO turbine flow meter indicates the flow rate and evaluates the entire fluid line flow rate. The rotor moves at a speed equal to the rate of flow when the fluid passes through the meter and through the rotor. When moving and producing an electric (sine) message, the magnetic pick-up sensors are the rotor propellers. These pulses are then transmitted to the flow meter.

Cameron has two meter grades to meet various linearity requirements. A standard grade meter for applications requiring 1% or less precision is an affordable option. For greater accuracy, an agricultural grade meter can be used. The expected flow spectrum is shown to achieve more accuracy. On the current flow rate of the row at which the meter was installed and the pressure drop, the flow measurement dimensions should be selected. Never measure the meter quality against the nominal tube volume. See the linear diagram of the spectrum and the pressure drop diagram for the length of the meter. However, overriding the meter over a long period of time will reduce unnecessary stress and pressure and reduce the meter life. For short periods without damage, NUFLO flow meters could be overridden by 10%.

For turbine flow meters with flanged lower connections, the RF and Ring-Type Joint Designs (RTJ) are available. NUFLO flange meters are made of carbon or steel stainless steel flanges. The flanges are welded to the outside of the meter and the flange is never alive with fluid.
